The P-40 Warhawk was one of the first true fighter planes of WWII. Although often outclassed by it's enemies it more than made up for it in ruggedness. This P-40E was flown by Col. Robert Scott and shows the plane as it looked before he took command of the 23rd in China. He went on to become one of the greatest military pilots and commander of all time. This P-40E has so many features it will leave you speechless. It comes with a pilot figure, 500lb. bomb, external fuel tank, wheel chucks, gloves and handling tools. You also get a detailed instruction booklet on all the features of the plane. If you thought our P-51 was impressive than this plane will blow you away. This plane features, sliding canopy with accurately detailed interior, removable top ammo doors with accurate drop in ammo box detail, opening access hatch, completely detailed engine with removeable side cowlings, functional rudder, wing flaps, opening underside gun doors with gun detail, antenna wires, all the external markings and body lines are there. But heres the part that makes us the leader in diecast replicas... the landing gear is automatic!! Yes that's right it features a small button on the underside of the plane that when pressed, acuates the landing gear to come down automatically and while coming down it rotates just like the real plane. It will blow you away the first time you see it, and all the times you will show your friends. This model is the best reproduction of the famous P-40E in the industry.
