Jaguar Mk2 Australia Racing Bob Jane The Jaguar Mk2's success in Europe was replicated in Australia when in 1962 it was steered to victory by Robert "Bob" Jane in the Australian Touring Car Championship. Racing a largely unmodified 1961 3.8 Mk2, Bob Jane won the single race at Longford Circuit in Tasmania. The title was then reclaimed the following year. Bob Jane's record was impressive, of 38 starts he managed to finish on the podium on no less than 21 occasions. He retired from racing in 1986 and was inducted into the Australian V8 Supercar Hall of fame in 2000. This model represents his car as it raced in 1962.
